The State Law Library is part of the Minnesota Judicial Branch. It houses the second largest legal collection in the state and is the oldest continuing library in Minnesota. We strive to promote access to justice by providing useful, timely, and responsive library services and legal information to the judiciary, legal community, and the public. Anyone who needs access to legal information is welcome to contact the library. We offer legal reference services in the library, through our website, by phone, chat, email or mail. We also offer legal clinics for people considering, or working on, appeals and probate matters.
The State Law Library serves the judiciary, all branches of state and local government, members of the legal community, other law, public and academic libraries, and the general public.
